Easy Transfer App
As a community college student balancing family responsibilities, I faced challenges navigating the transfer process to four-year universities. Through discussions with classmates, I realized many students shared this struggle.
In response, I developed an app to simplify the transfer experience, particularly for New York City students. The app has two main features: it uses AI to analyze school data and provide personalized admission recommendations, and it creates a supportive community where transfer students can share advice and connect with students at four-year institutions.

Through creating the empathy map and persona based on my research results, I gained valuable insights into the specific needs, challenges, and motivations of transfer students. I learned that many students find writing a statement of purpose particularly difficult and feel overwhelmed by the complexities of the transfer process. Additionally, the importance of mentorship and practical advice from alumni emerged as key factors that can significantly enhance their transfer experience. Understanding these pain points and desires allowed me to design targeted features, such as an alumni suggestion section and comprehensive transfer guides, to address their concerns effectively.
